Revelation 20:14 YLT
(Young’s Literal Translation)
and the death and the hades were cast to the lake of the fire — this [is] the second death
The second death is the death of death. It’s quite simple really.
Fire is the purifying fire of God, and all are made pure by Christ. Who is not written in the book of life? None, really. All are born out of His love and into His love. Some just don’t know it yet.
The name in the book of life. It’s Christ and all are in Him. He is the one who overcame. We overcome by the word of the testimony, and the word is that all are in Him, and reconciled. It is finished!!!!!
If you want to be literal, then some all shall be ‘purified’ of the junk that keeps them blinded to love, and will then will know Him. It still results in the end of death. But not the ‘end’ of anyone.
Revelation is a book of symbols and is not the basis of understanding God’s ways. But it will reflect His ways, just as it has been made to reflect what are not His ways.

Yes, but when are you going to come out of the denial that this love that you speak of does not force His will on anyone? That has been explained, adnauseum, Pat. There is good reason for it. God desires a relationship, and there is no relationship without a person of their own will, loving God back, and love cannot be forced. You believe a lie….if love could be forced, there would of been NO need for the physical creation at all. God would of just created and zapped us all with this forced love from the beginning. I think you are just in denial..for whatever reason. I do hold you dear to me, though…we all go through stages of blindness from time to time…self inflicted, that is.

Btw, I am not arguing. I already know I cannot change your mind. Why? FREEWILL, you have to do that yourself. You cannot change my mind, either, for the same reason. God changes hearts, but minds He demanded our submission. Without it, we would be nothing but robots.

I used to hear that when we believe, confess with our mouths, etc, then we were saved. But I don’t believe that any longer. When we believe, we are confessing (agreeing with.. .which is what that means) what God through Jesus did for the world. It brings great joy when we see this, but we are already justified and reconciled.
It’s all His doing. When we believe, it becomes reality to us. It is finished and can never be reversed. We can never be cut off. We are one with Him.
I’ve already addressed the second death thing. I don’t believe there is any kind of death from which we don’t awaken to life with God. Been there, done that, and not going back. It’s why I made the post in the first place. It is my belief.

I think we make it too complicated. I just believe and rest. He did it all before I even was born.
I don’t think about what it means anymore, other than I have joy and peace and so on. If there is no joy or peace or love in something, my eyes glaze over. So, no submission. No conviction. No apostasy. No believing in order to have salvation. Too draining.
I just live, loved by God, and have stopped worrying about the details. It so freeing. 😉
